Heading in to the fall holiday season I am overwhelmed by all the great seasonal decorating ideas out there. Back in the day Halloween was black and orange. Now purple is a Halloween color and there are white pumpkins to be had. Where do you start to decorate for the holidays?
I suggest you choose a focal point and concentrate your decorating efforts there. Where will you get the most bang for your buck? What do you see many times a day? After all, the reason we decorate is for our personal enjoyment so let’s put it in a place of prominence to enjoy often!
The photos I am sharing are from Mary Lou’s garden in a southern California RV park. She chose to feature “Mr. Potts” a decorative man made of flower pots.
Each season Mr. Potts sports a different look. Concentrating her seasonal decorating effort simplifies the decision making process. It’s out front in an area she and her neighbors can easily enjoy.
Decide where you want to concentrate your efforts. Pick a focal point and work from there. Happy decorating!
