We hope you're staying dry!
Last week we started mowing all of our residential properties. If you haven't seen us yet, it's because we're delayed from rain, and the forecast this week shows more spring showers. Our goal is to ensure top quality work, in a timely fashion, without damaging your lawn.
Keep in mind that during the wet spring, your mow day will fluctuate. It will become more regular as we head into summer!
Fertilization round 1 will be completed on all properties by April 8th.
We are closely monitoring soil temperatures as crabgrass may begin to germinate when temperatures are over 57 degrees for 3 days in a row. Today the temps were around 50 degrees. Most germination does not begin until soil temperatures are mid to upper 60's.
Fertilization round 2 will include both pre and post emergent for crabgrass which will control the weed as an immature plant if necessary.
Bed maintenance round 2 will begin next week and also uses pre and post emergents to control weeds in your beds.
It's not too late to sign up for bed cleanup, mulching, and edging to make your property spring party ready! You can request a quote here.
You should receive a mailer in the next week or so reminding you to schedule your irrigation startup.
You can do that online by clicking here, or by calling Ryan at 636-532-9192 ext 108, or by emailing me a couple times and dates that work for you. Remember that early morning and late afternoon appointments are booking up fast! Within about 2 weeks of completing your startup, the backflow will be tested and results submitted to the county for you.
As always, if you have specific requests for scheduling or just want to give us feedback, give us a call!
